São Paulo, Brazil, September 14, 2026 – Duolingo, the world’s leading mobile learning platform, is teaming up with Nubank, the largest digital bank in Latin America, to help Brazilian students prepare for the Enem (Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio), Brazil’s national high school exam. Starting September 14, all Nubank customers can redeem three free months of Super Duolingo, the platform’s subscription plan, which offers additional features to enhance the learning experience.
The initiative aims to encourage students to catch up on their studies, reinforce what they know and get ahead in their exam preparation, whether by practicing a new language, reviewing content or building a more consistent study routine. Through the partnership, Nubank also highlights the importance of financial planning for young people and wants them to feel confident knowing they can count on the bank’s services to help with everyday challenges.
Nubank, with around 118 million customers in Brazil, and Duolingo, with 59 million daily users worldwide and 70 million downloads in Brazil, share a common mission: to make people’s lives simpler and more accessible by offering solutions and tools that meet their needs ever more closely. The partnership reflects that mission.
Becoming “ENEMies” of being late
If there is one thing that keeps students up at night ahead of the Enem, it is getting to the test site on time. To remind young people to leave home early and not fall behind on their studies, so they arrive better prepared for the exam, Duolingo and Nubank created the concept “ENEMies of being late” (“ENEMigos do atraso”), which will take to the streets of São Paulo during the campaign.
The activation will feature a panel that simulates school gates, with treadmills set up on Avenida Paulista, in front of Shopping Cidade São Paulo, on September 18 and 19, inviting students to take on a challenge: “Race Duo before the gate closes.”
Duo, the app’s owl mascot, will race students and hand out personalized pre-exam kits to participants who have both the Duolingo and Nubank apps installed on their phones. The game and the campaign concept reference the memes that go viral on social media every year, showing students running to reach their test sites before the gates close.
“The Enem is an important moment in the lives of millions of Brazilian students, and we know that preparing for such a significant exam can be challenging. With this partnership, we want to make part of that preparation lighter, more fun and more accessible. The idea is to encourage students to step up their studies without leaving everything to the last minute. After all, with Duo, even racing against the clock can become a chance to learn,” says Analigia Martins, Marketing Director at Duolingo Brazil.
“Nubank and Duolingo were born with the same goal: to put powerful digital tools within everyone’s reach, not just a few. For the millions of young customers who choose our app every day, we deliver simple, intuitive solutions that offer autonomy and security. With this exclusive benefit, we show that our commitment to them goes beyond their financial lives, supporting major goals in their journeys,” says Isabela Abbês, Marketing Director at Nubank.
With this initiative, Duolingo and Nubank invite students to swap the last-minute rush for early preparation: start sooner, study at their own pace and arrive at the Enem ready to take the next step. Beyond supporting study routines, the campaign reinforces the message that planning can make a difference, both in arriving prepared on exam day and in organizing finances and the next stages of life.
The campaign was conceived and strategically developed by the agency Jota, and the benefit will be available until December 14.
