São Paulo, October 15, 2025 - Nu Holdings (NYSE: NU), one of the largest digital financial services platforms in the world, today announced it has been ranked #4 on Fortune’s 100 Fastest-Growing Companies list for 2025. This prestigious ranking honors publicly-listed companies that have demonstrated the strongest annualized growth over a three-year period.

The high ranking is a clear testament to the efficacy of Nu’s business model and its relentless focus on customer-centric technology and operational efficiency.

Nu’s position at #4 underscores its ability to scale profitably in the highly competitive financial services sector. According to the company's Q2 2025 earnings report, key drivers for this sustained growth include:

  • Massive Customer Scale: Nu’s customer base expanded to nearly 123 million customers globally as of Q2 2025, with an activity rate remaining above 83%.
  • Revenue Growth: Q2 2025 revenues reached a record $3.7 billion (40% YoY FX-neutral growth), driven by an 85% annualized growth rate since 2021.
  • Operational Efficiency: The Monthly Average Cost to Serve Per Active Customer remained remarkably low and stable at $0.80.

“Beyond the metrics, this recognition is the clearest testament that our digital, low-cost operating model works. It proves that by using technology to maintain a lean structure, we can pass savings directly to our customers, which in turn fuels organic growth. And it proves that this commitment to radical simplicity and continuous innovation is not only changing the financial lives of over 122 million people, but is also a winning growth model on a global scale,” said Cristina Junqueira, co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer at Nubank.

Fortune’s Methodology

Fortune’s list recognizes the world’s top performers based on sustained financial performance across three critical factors. Nu’s ranking is derived from a rigorous evaluation of Revenue Growth Rate, EPS (Earnings Per Share) Growth Rate, and Three-Year Annualized Total Return (for the period ended June 30, 2025). The list includes only companies that meet strict qualification criteria, including: trading on a major U.S. stock exchange since at least June 30, 2022; having minimum four-quarter revenue of $50 million and net income of $10 million (ended on or before April 30, 2025); and posting at least 20% annualized growth in revenue and EPS over the three-year period. The final rank is based on an equally weighted sum of the three performance variables, with data provided by Zacks Investment Research and S&P Global Market Intelligence.
