Mexico City, October 13, 2026 – Nu Mexico invites the public to celebrate Nu Day at MIDE (Interactive Museum of Economics) on Sunday, October 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with free admission made possible through its sponsorship. Through this initiative and its participation in the National Financial Education Week (SNEF), taking place from October 15 to 18, the company aims to make financial education accessible to everyone.
Nu Day marks the first activation under the sponsorship agreement between Nu and the museum, focused on financial education for children and young people. MIDE is a living museum that connects economics with everyday life. On that day, families, groups of friends, and visitors of all ages will be able to explore, learn, and make decisions while creating a banknote featuring their own face, sharing their financial secrets, or playing the Privileges Race game. Visitors will also receive a 10% discount on merchandise at the museum store. The event builds on Nu Academy at MIDE, Nu’s first initiative with the museum, a temporary immersive installation that was open from February 27 to May 31, 2024.
"At Nu, we believe financial education should be available to everyone, regardless of age or where they are starting from. By sponsoring museum access for the first time through Nu Day at MIDE, we want families, young people, children, and teens to experience economics in a practical, engaging, and approachable way, because understanding how money works is the first step toward making better decisions," said Romina Benvenuti, Head of Legal and Public Affairs at Nu Mexico.
For her part, Silvia Singer, CEO of MIDE, said: "At MIDE, we believe economic and financial education begins with curiosity. When we ask questions, we discover that economics is closely tied to our lives and the decisions we make every day. We want children, young people, and their families to find a space here where they can discover, enjoy, and decide together. Thanks to Nu’s collaboration, on October 25 we will be able to welcome more visitors and share something essential with them: understanding economics gives us the tools to make more independent decisions and build our future."
Wallet Monsters arrive at SNEF
The 19th edition of SNEF, organized by CONDUSEF, turns finance into a movie-themed experience this year and invites each participating institution to tell its own story around the question: “What financial movie are you telling yourself?”
Nu embraced the challenge through the action genre and its Financial Resilience pillar, building its story around a simple question: Who is really in control of your money? As part of its participation, the company will bring an interactive experience inspired by Japanese cinema to the Monument to the Revolution, where play, creativity, and learning come together so that each visitor can write the ending of their own story.
At its booth, Nu will introduce the Wallet Monsters (FOMOzilla, Gastón the Spending Plague, and Imprevisaurio), giant characters representing financial habits that can keep people from reaching their goals. Standing against them is Savertron, a giant robot equipped with three superpowers: pausing before making a purchase, understanding where money is being spent, and saving for unexpected situations.
Visitors will have the opportunity to discover which monster is controlling their wallet and how to defeat it. In addition, Nu will sponsor the Nu Movie Club, featuring short Savertron videos designed to spark family conversations about managing money wisely, and will host talks led by financial experts.
Nu’s participation in SNEF also seeks to strengthen security and trust in digital payments through a simple golden rule: move freely, but never in a hurry. Whenever there is uncertainty, the recommendation is to stop and verify before taking action.
With Nu Day at MIDE and its presence at SNEF, Nu continues its commitment to making financial education practical, accessible, and approachable. Both initiatives encourage people to learn, ask questions, and make more informed decisions about their money, whether they are facing the Wallet Monsters at the Monument to the Revolution or exploring MIDE on October 25.
